This App is horrific. Complete waste of time and money. It used to be free and good - it's now expensive and awful. My book keeper is spending days trying to untangle your mess.

Deleting this app - I could put up with the clunkiness and bugs when it was free but they now want to charge me $40 per month... how they think it's worth 25% more than my entire Xero sub is beyond me. Looked into how to do it manually myself and have found it's actually easier, quicker and cleaner than with the app... wish I'd done it a year ago!

This app worked ok for a couple of years but for the last few months it has been terrible. On numerous occasions it has corrupted the invoices I'm importing to Xero - putting the wrong SKUs in the wrong invoices which stuffs up my inventory and accounts. I've spent hours (days!) fixing it and each time I trusted they'd sort it out but the camel's back has been broken - I've moved to a different app and feel the need to warn people. Their support people have been responsive and seem to want to be helpful but ultimately they've been unable to fix the root cause nor fix the mess in my accounts, despite me providing access to my data for diagnosis and a detailed description of what has happened each time (main trigger seems to have been when an invoice contains an item code that hasn't been set up in Xero yet - the app creates an item like it always used to, then has a meltdown, corrupting all your subsequent invoices). Don't go near this if you value your time and the accuracy of your accounts.

This app has always been a bit crap. It did 85% of the job but there were always glitches and refunds/ credits etc were always catered poorly. I thought it was a freebie provided by Xero so didn't complain. But no! This is another crap-ola BOLD app. Bold seem to think they can over-charge for everything. I found this month that I had not been able to reconcile my Xero transactions due to exceeding monthly export on free plan, so upgraded. However I still can't export the remainder of the orders from last month even though I'm now on the paid plan and there is no way to go back retrospectively and export the orders from before today! Now I'm in the crappy position of having to reconcile 15+ days of transactions manually. I'm going to be un-installing and disputing the charge for the current month via Shopify support.

This app worked fine. But suddenly they upped the price. I would have paid a reasonable amount, but expecting me to pay up to $90 a month is nuts. People are trying to run businesses here. I assume they realised they were the only app so went all out to maximise their income. Greedy!

It works. Most of the time, gets stuck occasionally and needs to be reconnected. Annoying when you don't notice for a few days. However the new pricing plan is totally unjustified for the functionality it provides. Try $5 / month? Updated my review whilst we wait to see if new features / reliability is forthcoming after the change to the pricing plans.

Useless, this app only imports certain orders, spoke with support over a number of days only to be told that they know it doesn't work, they don't know why, can't offer a work around or give us any idea on how this can be managed. No idea which invoices will be imported and which will be left behind. They also say they can not give me a time frame on when the bug will be fixed. Currently looking for alternatives. Avoid.

Buggy and incomplete. We faced number of issues that turned out to be bugs in this app. After weeks of exchanging emails and wasting our time, we were told its a bug and their developers "are working on it". One month later nothing has happened, ticket closed! This app is far from ready. It does not support multiple stores. It has issues importing taxes correctly. Randomly fails to import transactions and never imports them to Xero,...

It works for me which is to simply import sales from Shopify to xero. but at $60 a month not nearly worth it. I will be canceling shortly and just doing one monthly journal entry.

An easy piece of software integration that was free and now they are trying to charge an absorbent price. This is not worth nearly as much as Xero or Shopify, yet they charge the same. Simple Xero and Quickbooks integration should be a free app by Shopify.

One of the reasons we picked Shopify was that it was free to integrate with Xero. The writing was on the wall when they flogged part of it to Bold, but didn't expect the level of service to drop as it has. Then to find out we're being charged almost the same as our Shopify costs is a complete joke. Goodbye Shopify. You just lost our business.

Needs new pricing plans. Current structure not justifiable especially if your run Shopify as POS rather than e-commerce only.

I'm not happy with the charges at all, I spoke to Bold and was offered a few free months to figure things out. I will update my review in a few months time.

Totally disappointed with bold. We are a not for profit sporting club and these monthly charges are steep for importing only to two accounts in xero. This app has been working well for us, however, we cannot afford Shopify fees, then bold fees, then xero fees just to sell tickets, oh and the fee for holding the event as well. For this price you need to offer different account codes for sales so the itemisation can be more discrete than what you currently offer. Will you offer a discount for not for profit associations? Xero currently offer us a 25% discount. Also the 6 months we dont operate, can we switch to the free plan? Update.... 26 January: bold have responded to an email and we are awaiting a response in regard to a not for profit discount which is encouraging. In addition you can dial back to the free plan if your sales volume seasonally diminishes.... Will update stars when discount is received. Discount has been applied so we are happy with the outcome Jordan responded and put us in touch with the appropriate person. Thankyou

I have been using this app for a couple of years, worked well despite a few bugs here and there. The new pricing model is absolutely outrageous and is the reason why I will look for another solution to integrate to Xero. A shame.

Buggy app, sometimes orders magically disappear from xero... Now they want to charge for it? Classic scam, hook you until you're dependant, then charge you for it once you're integrated.

absolute garbage. xero and shopify both market this to be a native integration. then bold gets involved to start charging for writing a bit of janky code - almost $250US / yr to export 200 orders / month! BOLD should be directed to remove the misleading marketing video at the top of this post immediately.

The new pricing structure feels like extortion! This is a really basic app that often doesn’t work in our experience and now they introduce fees without any justification at levels that seem unreasonably high. Very disappointing given the fees we are already paying to Xero. Very unhappy with this.

Will be deleting bold app after this surprise fee introduction. I don't understand why it makes sense to pay more than the Shopify OR Xero apps themselves simply to transfer data from one to the other. I would expect Bold will lose a lot of customers with this move. UPDATE - I have talked to the Bold team, and they have no explanation for the pricing structure they are introducing. This is the biggest price gouge I've ever experienced as a Shopify customer. The pricing structures are based on number of orders exported, so it is very clearly an effort to take advantage of companies with more revenue. The pricing structure is not related to the service provided at all. This is a very bad business practice. I will still be deleting this app as soon as I find a workaround. I notice their review rating has plummeted since the new pricing was introduced. I'm not surprised.

If I'm paying for Xero, I expect it to automatically pull transactions from multiple sources without the need to pay another company for the integration. Bad move by Xero and Bold. I might have to find another accounting solution.

Absolutely shocking! I don’t understand the new pricing structure for such a simple function. It’s actually embarrassing that Xero and Shopify would be doing this! Buggy app, not supporting inventory, missing orders! What’s going on with this propel!

We tried this app, it might work for some people as they do export all the order at the end of the day. We would have continued using them if there was some customizing options to simplify the accounting ( in our case we needed daily sales export in one or two invoices for all the orders from the day with the ability to seperate cash orders). It is a pretty bad reputation for Shopify to have such basic things made complicated. Most Brick and mortar places get their pos synced and payed all together at the end of the shift. So the existing system has a chance of smooth running for online only and syncing to one account.

Tolerated the many glitches, missing data, etc, etc, etc. only because the app was free. Shopify is great, Xero is great, this app not so much. Definitely not worth the fees they are asking for. We'll be looking around.

Notice how all the 5 star reviews are from before they started charging ridiculous fees for the app. Seems exorbitant for the service they're providing, which is mediocre at best.
