This app is a desaster. I tried to use the template of the old order printer app which I was using now for years and have translated it, since my shop is in German. The new version just deletes my translation. When I copied my translated template from the old version of Order Printer to the new version it didn't work. Please stop dictating customers which app to use if you don't have the minimal of foresight that there are people acting in a different language than English.

Do not remove the legacy order printer until you get at least a 4-star rating. The new printer performance is absolutely terrible and unacceptable and currently not compatible with 3rd party product option and variance apps.

I don't think I've ever been more mad at a developer than I am at the Shopify devs right now. They've bugged the legacy invoice generator and are too stupid to just roll it back like any other platform would do. The fact they apparently don't have regression testing for the biggest e-commerce platform on Earth is mind boggling.

I am not sure why Shopify does not improve the ‘Shopify Order Printer’ to make it easier to use and send invoices after orders are shipped automatically. Instead, Shopify suggests spending more money on third-party apps that are not located in the UK or EU. Wow, what a disappointment. The original Order Printer was certainly not the best, but I presume most of us eventually got it to work and considered that a sunk cost. Years later and this is what you've got? You have to be kidding! I'm hours into it and I still can't get decent results, the templates are lousy and it has been super flaky, sometimes completely failing to load. This clearly comes down to an absolutely poorly managed Product Management group. There appears to be absolutely no voice of customer at Shopify. Who in the world asked for this? Wake up Shopify! When your own app can't even get a 2.0 rating something is broken, that starts with Product Management. Fix It! Someone should be held accountable.

I'm only using this app to print an invoice for B2B customers when needed. Given this use, I do believe this app is an improvement compared to the legacy app. The standard template looks much better, and with some HTML knowledge you can improve the template.

**have tried to put our customised template in the new order print app and it will not work. Have followed the instructions to show certain information - guess what still not working. Spoke to live chat, need to wait for the theme team to get back to me, when will this happen? having extreme troubles printing today and no one can help as we aren't in USA business hours. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. not sure why you changed it 118 one star reviews says it all. How about you listen to your paying customers???** Why fix something that wasn't broken, typical shopify, works on things that aren't required, still haven't come up with a concept to know when an order has been downloaded / printed, I had to create my own tags to say last printed, pity that cant work on other things in the back end like being able to sort products by price, can live on the website, but not in the back end for editing prices, only asked 5 times over 2 years, get told thats a great idea, guess they are too big too listen

Ever heard the saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"? This applies perfectly to what Shopify did with the order printer app. We finally had it all customized exactly how we liked it, and then they are now forcing us to "upgrade" to a literally inferior product. My main gripe is that the new order printer STILL doesn't import variant selections from orders that are imported in from outside of Shopify (I.E. Etsy Orders, Ebay Orders, Etc). PLEASE just let us keep using Legacy Order Printer until you get your poop together with the new app.

The font is too small on the Order form. There doesn't appear to be any way to permanently tick to remove the default to print Packing Form. It wastes so much paper to print the orders & throw away the packing sheet. I loved the original Legacy Order Printer. It was easily customised, larger font, so less room for error when packing orders. This seems like a dumbed down version that has replaced a perfectly functional order printer. Why??

The update is not friendly at all. We've not been able to transfer templates suitably, and the consistent issues between the legacy printer, and the updated version is horrendous.

Absolutely awful app. No preparation made for customers for the switch. No easy transfer across. Seems to be an intentional need to use a 3rd party app or developer to make things work. Worst yet is they've started messing with the legacy app which is forcing people to jump to the new app before they've made the relevant preparations. My whole operation came to a grinding halt this morning because of their changes. 15 staff being paid to do nothing while we await a developer to get to the office and make amendments so that we can print our specialised packing slips...

I just installed the new App, and I have to say everything about it is extremely craptacular. Halfbaked isn't even a remarkedly close comparison. Raw and still mostly frozen is a better description. I can't believe anyone would consider this App ready for deployment. The type is microscopic. I can code but finding where to try and make changes is anything but obvious. Changes like this make me wish we hadn't gone with Shopify.

Does not work properly. The templates from the legacy were perfect, and I've used them or years. I migrated the templates per instructions, but the order number is missing, as well as the date and email fields. Not great. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And if you're going to fix it, make sure you have a solution that works. This is not it guys. Horrible, huge misstep.

Looks like another complete and utter failure to go along with the many other failures from the Shopify development team. I'm curious as to why Shopify continues to log so many failures in a market landscape that has so many different competitors. This failure coupled with Shopify's failure to add simple dimensional shipping proves that they don't have their customers best interests at heart.

I do not like the new app at all. My old template doesn't work and I can't seem to edit this one with any of the coding. Someone please tell me how to get the shipping title to show on the packing slip? It takes too much time to look at each order individually to see what shipping method to use. I tried several of the variables and none of them are working!

When you think UPGRADE, you think Improvement. Not the case here. Shopify should have a core comprehensive Order Printer app, AT NO COST considering the monthly cost shop owners already incur. The existing (legacy) order printer works and has some customization in the code that works for my business. I do over 11,000 orders per year. Now Shopify is forcing a migration to an inferior order printer app, by sunsetting the legacy order printer. You should have a choice or a "Voice" as a shop owner. It's almost as if they are forcing you to pay for a 3rd party app, so Shopify can generate more revenue. This is shameful corporate greed. Shame on you Shopify!

After years of successfully using Order Printer with my branding customisations, the app has been decreed a 'Legacy' app and all users need to migrate to this new one. This new Order Printer App is completely broken. I followed the instructions to copy the code from legacy app and paste it in the new app. Whilst the branding customisations - Logo , font style etc migrated ok, 7 critical pieces of order information are now missing from my Invoices: - No Invoice Date - No Invoice Number - No Ship to details ( customer name and address ) - No Shipping Method - No Sub Total - No Total - No Total Paid An invoice is not an invoice without these details. It seems that to have this critical information included you need to follow their instructions to change certain elements of code. These instructions are written with the expectation that you have significant knowledge of HTML, and there is no assistance for anyone who doesn't. Given that users paid to have customised templates in the legacy version originally, we should not have to find and pay a developer to have these changes migrated to the new app being forced upon us. Hoping that a fix for these issues is provided soon and that in the meantime the Legacy app is left in place so we are not without the ability to issue invoices

I would give this a negative star if I could. This app is awful. The templates are horrendous. It doesn't include the notes. I have used Order Printer and (paid) Order Printer Templates for years - super easy to customize and looked great. Now they are no longer supported and we're directed to use this awful app. Do better, Shopify.

Little to no functionality. The instructions to migrate templates does not work. There is not a way to customize new templates. The current printer app was fine. Wish I could just continue using the legacy version.

It has been most difficult to transfer our invoice templates to this app from the legacy version. I've had to teach myself enough coding to be able to figure out how to make the old template work here, which has taken me so many working hours, for there to find out afterwards that there's issues that many other people are experiencing because they haven't even been fixed by the developers yet. After all that work our template isn't ready to be used yet because there's no solution to page breaks, and the time to use the legacy version is running out. I'm sure I'm speaking for many of us users when I ask for an extension on the legacy app availability, or these issues being fixed asap AND providing sufficient support to those users that don't have the resources to deal with it themselves.
