Brilliant. I was looking for a way of embedding products in the sidebar of my blog and this is perfect!

OK this really makes me angry. They literally made it so this doesn't work. Shopify did this on purpose. I may just close down my store now. Shopify has made my life more difficult and I have to wonder what use they are now? Basically they made some sort of back door deal with wordpress.com. Now it only works with there site with the embed store feature. So Now instead of me being able to manage all my orders from shopify I am going to have to setup each site as a separate store. YES alot of work on my part and goodbye shopify you just lost a customer.

I'm glad this is available, I've been meaning to integrate a buy button into our multiple sales channels.

It appears Shopify wants to keep its customers away from Wordpress. Hmmm... they might just get their wish (but in reverse) if they don't fix this plugin. Shopify is NOT Wordpress and the rate the development is going it never will be. Please stop crippling Shopify if you want your platform to survive in the long term.

Used to work great, now doesn't work at all. I'm adding a button that is supposed to add the product to your cart on my Wordpress.org blog. When you click the button it goes to the cart but with no product added. :/

Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Recently it stopped completely for no discernible reason and Shopify support had no clue as to how to help. It's also worth noting that the overnight transition from old buy button to new buy button was not a nice thing to do. People rely on this thing to work and you shouldn't just change it without warning. The old buy button worked perfectly.

Simple. No more embed storefront, no more Shopify. I'm moving to Ecwid so I can embed a product or a category or the entire store. This was possibly the dumbest mistake an ecommerce provider could make. The idea is that you add functionality, not decrease it. For the yearly price I pay I would have expected more.

Not even loading. Looking at the reviews, it seems like this is a crippled choices (take note developers)!!

I have come across so many issues with the new implementation of the buy button. I've been back and forth with support, requesting a simple answer as to how I can make the button direct to the checkout page in the SAME tab / window, rather than opening a new window over the page, and my point has been completely misunderstood, and I'm left with a bad UX now. I just updated this review after receiving help from a Shopify associate. This app does work, I'm quite glad it exists, it's free, and the Shopify support was good. However, it's a whole lot of copying and pasting and mussing about just to get a few products up on a particular post. As another reviewer mentioned, there is an app for Etsy listings of this same nature that simply connects your accounts and *presto*, it gives you the option of short codes for any product or collection that you can insert into any post right there, and it's also free. It's rare that Etsy has better apps than shopify, so I was disappointed. Moreover, judging from other reviews, this app used to allow for more and easier integration; so what a bummer that it has changed. . . BUT hey, I really needed this and am glad for it such as it is. This is pretty much obsolete now that we can't embed the whole store. Please bring it back!!

PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD WIDGET!!! You have made my external site obsolete. Just allow us to use the old code again. PLEASE!

Please return Shopify Widget. This replacement is severely lacking.

It shows all product variants when we have some which are only for Wholesaler customers!

The old Shopify widget looks great - too bad it's dead Buy button is useless because there is no way to customize beyond a few options: Change button size, color, destination? Sure Want to embed a product page? Nope Want to open the cart page in the same window? Nope Embed a collection? Nope Anything else? Nope Just for for added fun, it loads slowly - holding up complete page rendering on an otherwise fast site. I see two uses for this app: (1) discouraging people from embedding shopify on other platforms (2) Encouraging people to learn the shopify API or hire shopify experts
