Simple and easy to manage, worked like a charm for all of my shopify blogs. Easy to embed, was able to change the buttons color and direct them to either product or collections. https://spycentre.com/

Does not work in tumblr. Only shows a tiny little box when posted. Tried everything. Ugh.

I tried to create a simple button to add to my blog on my shopify website so I could direct customers to my specific collection, well, it wasn't so simple after all. I am sure you can do better shopify.

We used the buy button for a year and it worked flawlessly. The color and font can be customized. If you need more than that it is probably time to switch to one of Shopify's themes.

Great concept but useless unless it is able to be customised.

It really sucks that there's no way to add custom styles to the buttons other than change colours. Stuff like font, font size, button size and border radius are pretty basic requirements. Very SLOW too.

It appears Shopify has largely updated the Buy Buttons, because I see none of the problems people are citing here. The Buy buttons are now customizable in color, as is the text, as is the description of your products (done from your main Shopify site which then shows up in the Buy Button cart). You can embed one item, or an entire collection or stuff. And customers can return to your site by just clicking outside the cart to add more items to the cart, and then checkout in one transaction for everything. What I dont see always working is the free shipping over a certain threshold. Perhaps I need to play with the settings some more. (it runs off the settings in your main shopify acct even if the buy buttons are placed on another site) But the product does work and for what it is designed for it does well. People that need a full featured cart should realize this is a more limited pop-up cart for another website, it will sell products but for tons of customization you should probably use Shopify's full site. It still offers a complete checkout, coupons, and shipping options so for as small as it is it does alot. This is a pretty good product and I dont know of one other company that offers a similar product.

The fact you can't customize the button with this widget is a complete disaster. Get your act together and do the work. HINT TO SHOPIFY: If you fix this, more people will be using the buy button, which means more revenue for them, which means more revenue FOR YOU! No brainer. Use your brains.

I love the idea, but there are things that should be fixed ASAP. 1.) It's painfully slow, endless number of requests needed in order to load the iFrame. 2.) Not customizable.

C'mon shopify, how about you help us sell more for you and make this button customizable. Do your customers need to beg for BASIC features?

Functionality is good, but would be much better if you could customise little things like thumbnails and pricing colours.

This should be an embarrassment to even offer. How dare they even release this to the public. No customization features, lack luster and completely useless. This is an EMBARRASSMENT to place on a website and this is made by an Ecommerce website? Really? This is the best they could do? Good Grief! Take this App down!

I love the app. I was able to create individually product pages, with the products my reps like to sell the most and put it right one there page, with one simple code. Even better each of my sales reps also now have their own shopping cart on their page, meaning that when customers go to my sales reps pages, they do not have to leave their page/website to check out, which does increase conversion rates. It is also so easy just to change up the collections on the individual sites. I also got codes on my Blog, from newly added products. I am giving this app a 5 star, because it's a great app and I have had to problems with it.

Because 0-star is not available. You would think that a Buy Button is the main feature of a shopping and should at least be working properly and be adjustable.

It is a wonderful app. I do not why, but Shopify's apps are reviewed very critically here... It is not only a matter of high expectations, I think. But be that as it may. As for the app: it is a free app that gives you the possibility to insert products/whole collections in your blog, and it lets you do it in one click! It is not true that there is no description and so on- maybe it was so before, I really do not know...but it is surely not the case now! Currently, Shopify's buy button includes a quick view option, which, by the way, works very beautifully and quickly on your blog. So it does not let you work very good with variants and so on... So what? So change your game a bit, pick another product, etc. I think that the best method here is to put a few products, or a collection in a blog post, and not only one product. With one product, the reader may simply click without really wanting. By giving him an option to see more, he may click only at the product that he wants. Again, I am not sure that it is bad that he is "just" clicking. After all, he is moving to your store and could easily come to the forefront of your store. I am telling all of it as an sign of envy, once our blog is hosted on Wordpress.com. With the latter, as always, it is another world. But it is very good, very very good, to our mind, on Wordpress.org blog, with which we are playing for some time...

Good idea, but doesnt quite work. Once you actually get the button working it doesnt link to the product on the site and wants to go straight to checkout, which isnt ideal for any customer.

Does not work for embedding in Tumblr posts as advertised. The HTML elements are ignored and converted to a single text link. Variant selection dropdown also disappears. Great concept. But doesn't work as advertised. Hoping for Tumblr updates and a future five-star review!

Does not embed product description, and breaks the Wordpress page builder plugin. Very poor.

Minimally functional. No way to configure the embed code (like add an affiliate code), or even track sales from the different sites that have embedded the code. I guess if you want to embed items from your store in several sites that you own, and don't care about tracking, this is fine. But I think Shopify didn't think through the functionality that current stores would actually need.

This app needs work. For us clicking the BUY Button would be best if the products go in to a shopping cart on our website (instead of a cart on the blog) ,then customers would have access to all our products. This limits them to purchasing only the products listed on our blog. It also has issues that are not the best when a product has variants. We tried it, but it was not something that worked for us. Looking for something else that will work for us.

No styling of the button other than color is allowed. Would give 5 stars if it allowed padding and margin, width, height, centering, fonts, and the ability to change the fixed cart widget on the right. Until then, this is mediocre at best.

This is a great app. However, it is missing one feature that makes it unusable, the ability to style the widget. A simple fix would be to add a custom CSS box to the Buy Button app. As long as that CSS gets sent with the iFrame content styling would then be possible. I tried a CSS rule, which won't work because it's in an iFrame. Then I built some JavaScript code to inject CSS into the iFrame. That also won't work because browsers consider it a type of attack. When you get there, you will run into this nasty error "Blocked a frame with origin "https://" from accessing a frame with origin "https://widgets.shopifyapps.com". Protocols, domains, and ports must match." This means that you need an SSL certificate for HTTPS, and your domain name must be "https://widgets.shopifyapps.com". Since the second one is impossible, the clear interpretation is that the browser will not allow you to style the Buy Button app.

If you have multiple product variants, it lumps them all into a single dropdown, which makes choosing the correct combination very frustrating for the user. Why can't it just provide the same interface as on a regular product page?

I was real hesitant to use this after I read all the bad reviews. I wanted to put products on our blog page that is hosted by blogspot to supplement our Shopify website. When I asked if I could do it, I received a very informative and helpful email from Matt at Shopify. Followed the instructions for using a link to my cart on the website. It was EASY PEASY and now I can post products for sale on our blog. Whoooo-hoooo, this app rocks.
